Albany High School’s booster club has awarded a total of $4000 in scholarships to the students who achieve the highest number of volunteer hours. In each academy 2 people (a male and a female) are selected and will receive $500 to go towards their education. The students awarded this year were Jo Wunderlich and Saha Ananta (Citizenship), Bella Luarelli and Dominic Hung Tun (Discovery), Ravna Swann and Luke Gibson (Innovation) and Kselektra Shimbilko and Shakif Ahnaf (Leadership).
These students amassed an impressive amount of community service hours and should be incredibly proud of all of the good they have done. These falcons not only helped out around their community but also made sure to log their hours on Passport for Good. This scholarship will continue to be given out through the next few years, with the plan for next year being to award the two students in each academy with the most volunteer hours. A great way to be able to boost your volunteer hours and make a difference in your school’s community would be to volunteer with Albany High Schools booster club.
