In less than two weeks the World Cup will commence, an event that occurs every four years, like the Olympics.
This year, Brazil gets to shine a light on its love for soccer by hosting the World Cup. The last World Cup was held in 2010 in South Africa, the first African nation to hold the games. What the World Cup brings to the host nation is the ability to show the world its culture and respect for other nations, as they all compete to win the World Cup.
For those of you who can recall hearing the vuvuzelas in the last World Cup, it was the South Africans and the visitors showing the vibrant cultural of South Africa. Hosting the World Cup brings recognition and respect to the host nation. In two weeks all eyes will be centered on Brazil. How will Brazil, a nation that has already won six World Cups, display its love for the game of soccer and its rich vivacious culture?
Players from 32 nations will be cloaked in national pride all competing for the World Cup. Nations such as Iran, Ghana, Uruguay, Portugal, USA and many more nations will compete to bring national gory home proving they are the best team in the world. The World Cup will go commence on June 12, 2014, through July 13, 2014.
The games begin following an opening ceremony and the first match will be between Brazil and Croatia at 5pm Eastern Time. For one month the world’s eyes will be centered on Brazil; national pride and respect will be displayed in every match as every player of every nation competing will do their best to make their nation stand out to the world.
