A gunman shot and killed two men and one woman today, December 21st, in rural Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania state trooper Adam Reed, the shooting took place between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. The gunman was allegedly firing from his truck before state troopers took chase. One trooper was injured in a crash; another, wearing a bulletproof vest, was shot in the chest; and the third was hurt by flying glass shards. Local police are expected to soon hold a press conference.
This comes a week after the tragic mass murder in Newtown, Connecticut, the victims of which included twenty children and eight adults. The NRA recently released a statement, their first since the Newtown shooting, in which they advocated the use of armed guards on school property.
We will update this article as new information regarding the Pennsylvania shooting comes in, and we extend our condolences to all those affected.
