Film Synopsis: Thor is dethroned by the evil Hela, daughter of Odin. Thor finds himself imprisoned as he gets cast away to another world across the universe. He reunites with the Hulk as he gets chosen as a contender to face the Hulk in a gladiatorial battle for freedom. Thor reunites with other characters seen in the comics and past marvel films that help him on his quest to dethrone and take down the evil Hela, thus saving Asgard from destruction and anarchy.

Review: Chris Hemsworth reprised his role in the film Thor: Ragnarok, which recently hit theaters on November 3, 2017. In this film, Thor finds himself in conflict when he is forced to take on the mighty and powerful goddess Hela. Thor must protect Asgard from Hela from the wrath she’ll set upon it. The movie features people like Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) who also acted in Avengers: Age of Ultron two years ago with Chris Hemsworth.

The movie was well crafted, with beautiful vibrant flashbacks that stunned the audience. The movie had many great reveals with some heartbreaking moments. Although I liked the comedy, I wish the movie was a little more serious. In times that were solemn or interesting they made a joke out of it, which in part was funny but takes away the essence and tone of the film. Despite that, the movie had many action-packed moments that gave that thrill which comes with going out and watching a superhero movie.

Ragnarok was very long and watching felt tiresome after a while, with a total run time of two hours and ten minutes. The movie felt drawn out at times, but the use of dialogue and imagery captured the audience, additionally keeping the viewers hooked with vivid effects and art that created a sense of admiration. Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of Thor was also amazing. He bought Thor to life with his cool acting and witty humor.

I rate this movie an eight of ten because it has a well crafted plot along with lovable characters that makes the audience empathize with them. The Norse mythology that Thor and this movie revolves around make it that much richer because it’s based off actual historical myths. I don’t give this movie a ten, because it lacked seriousness and could have added more scenes with substance, that could intensify viewer experience while watching this film. However, you should definitely watch this movie because its lighthearted, vengeful, intriguing, and comedic.
