After many versions of Godzilla, a new one just sparked up 2014 questioning many potential viewers: will this be as bad as the 1998 rip off… or is this going to be a big turn around?
As a warning, if you’re going to enter the movies hoping to see a ton of fighting and action, then don’t get your hopes up too high: Godzilla involves more character development and suspense.
Bryan Cranston (AKA Joe Brody…AKA Walter White…AKA Heisenberg), plays a nuclear physicist and a former engineer at the Janjira nuclear plant.
Noticing unexplainable movement coming from the Earth, Brody argues that it can’t be “earthquakes” because earthquakes tend to be random; these are patterned and consistent.
Many people would say that the movie consist a lot of talking, and although this is true, the talking helped rise up suspense.
Sadly however, there were other tactics used to help rise up tension, one in which, crossed a certain limit: Godzilla was teased far too many times. He would show up, a fight would establish and then a news report would cut it off… we wanted to see that!
This happened perhaps at least 4 times. Despite this however, it is made up at the very end with a really awesome fight scene (maybe between 2 monsters, not saying), and was overall epic.
