Start packing your bags, because it’s almost time to check into Hotel Cortez, the perfect erotic thrill to start off the autumn season.

American Horror Story: Hotel is the fifth season of the FX anthology television series. The series premiere aired on October 7, 2015. It focuses on the baffling Hotel Cortez, its deviant residents, an intrepid detective, and the establishment’s bloodthirsty owner, The Countess.

This new season is nothing like the rest. Season one, called Murder House, consisted of murder, threats, and suicide. Next came Asylum which “takes place in 1964 at the Briarcliff Mental Institution. The Coven, season 3, took  place in the 1830s, mainly about the battle of witchcraft versus voodoo. The fourth season was The Freak Show which consisted of the last remaining freak show in the U.S, and their struggle for survival. The best part about this series is that none of the seasons are connected so you can just pick up on any season when it airs.

Although most stories and settings are different, many actors appear as different characters in each season. Even if you don’t like scary movies or TV shows, American Horror Story is nothing like the rest. One can easily find themselves drawn into ghoulishly fun side. It definitely is a head turner. If you like suspense give this a try. If it interests you, you might like to catch a feel for the first four seasons.
