Troy is returning for his second year at The Nest. This time around he’s grabbed the reins of this rickety ride and is steering us down victory lane as our Editor-in-chief. His nose for the news and careful eye are top notch, while his chops with a pen and paper are second to none. He’s our fearless leader. Bow down to the young man we affectionately call Tron…the writing machine sent back from the future to school you cats, prose style.
Muneib is returning to The Nest after an impressive sophomore year as a staff writer. This go-round, Muneib is taking his talents to the next level as our Managing Editor. He’s opinionated, informed, and full of fight. If you have an idea for The Nest, Muneib is your go-to guy. Challengers beware, this young man loves a good debate. Just don’t indirectly tweet him…ain’t nobody got time for that.
He debates. He writes. He plays the piano like a man possessed. If there’s a story, Chris will certainly sniff it out. That drive landed him in the captains chair as News Editor for The Nest. Without fail, Chris tackles the weighty, gritty issues of our school, the region and our glorious nation all while finding the balance to occasionally spit a quick 16.
Romario is our resident renaissance man. As Arts & Entertainment Editor, it’s his job to provide all the film, music and performance coverage that moves us. Not only does he write, but he acts and gathers a group snack like it’s nobody’s business. If you have a hunch on the next trending topic, Romario is the man to see.
Trevor is the cook in our technological kitchen. Whether we’re shrinking, cropping or sharpening an image, it starts and ends with Trev. He loves video games too. Seriously…check the Arts & Entertainment page. And if you ask nicely, he’ll write you the creepiest Valentines Day card you’ve ever read.
Elana is making her Nest debut this year. She’s a young lady who wears many hats, covering any story we throw at her. She works hard, writes with passion and balances it all with a smile. If you’ve got an idea for a club story or feature, let her know. She will make it happen.
Michaela is returning to The Nest this year as a seasoned staff writing veteran. Clubs, sports, theater arts…there’s nothing she won’t cover. Her knack for crafting quirky, warm pieces make her the perfect gal to hunt down stories thoughout the halls of AHS. In Pickett we trust.
